could be, could also be hot spots from fleas but the same treatment for either one will work. The co-op will have Prolate-D - it's the same thing as Paramite dip but much cheaper, mix it 1 oz per gallon of water and give 'em a good dipping. A time or 2 of that will clear up sarcoptic mange...or hot spots either one. Lots of other home remedies will work. Burnt motor oil works too and sulphur are a couple coming to mind. For you...a bath with vinegar or clorox(I hate clorox but it kills all sorts of stuff) works wonders and plain old oatmeal! LMAO do ya mind smelling like a pickle for a little bit?
Wet or damp bedding is one thing to get rid of, hay especially, it's bad to have "no see 'ums" that'll drive you crazy trying to get rid of. Unless it's really cold, they're better off with nothing in the house but the hound.

thats what it sounds like to me my kennel partner had it with the beagle pups that we have try the dips that are posted by jcross you just have to go by the directions on the bottle and don't let it get in your mouth it will make you sick and dip them a few times and you should be good

ivomec will also be prescribed by a vet for this type of mange i forgot about that you will have to give it to them orally not in a shot under the skin i will talk to my kennel partner tomorrow and find out what the dosage is for the ivomec but i really do recommend the dip if im not incorrect the paramite dip will also take care of any fleas that the dogs have on the ..

CDH I believe jcross gave you a good start on trying to fix the situation as with any thing if this dont work , Do as Dr's do That is to try something else . Could be hot spots, im not there and cant see the dogs. Did they just aquire this or has it been going on for some time ? Bud Im not trying to be a wise guy so dont take me wrong. What kind of feed are you feeding them ? Not saying this is the problem, but I have saw dogs develope what looks like a mange but in fact they were alergic to the additives in the food. I dont think Ivomec is the answere , thats to easy But you kinda have to try some things first to see if its going to work, and if you dont see any results within a few days , try something else thats my answere and Im sticking to it LOL But on the serious side of this Can you post us a few pictures of the dogs affected and the areas of the hair loss ( Close ups ) . Mr B

i thought it may be from switching from a low protein off season feed to a high protein feed for running. i was feeding a 18-8 for off season, but now switched to purina highpro which is 27-15 ive seen from switching a low protein feed to a high pro feed would do that........ but ill try to post some pics from my phone...... but my stepdad said ivomec wouldnt do nothing for mange or hot spots.....
