I watched, even tho it rained alot I had a good time. There didn't seem to be as many people as usual but there were still alot. The hogs this year were better to me because they would come out after the dogs and tested the dog's ability. There were alot of DQ's tho, I think that was because of the hog's charging the dogs and when they got a taste they didn't let go of the=at good ol' pork lol. The 1st nite a pen worker was cut on the leg and had to have 67 stitches on it. A hog also got out of the arena, the crowd come alive then lol, a man from the stands caught the hog and put him back in. Overall it was fun.

Sounds like a time for sure. We skipped it this year. Too many other irons in the fire for the moment.

THE HOGS AT EARLS WAS TERRIBLE SMALL HOGS I ENTERED TWICE AND BOTH CATCH OUTS I WENT TO BUD MOSES PEN SAT TO HIS COMPETTION SOME PEOPLE THAT ENTERED AT EARLS WHO DROPPED OUT WAS THERE MY BIG REDBONE FINISHED 1 ST IN ONE DOG AND BUDDY PLOTT FINISHED 3RD IN TWO WE FINISHED 3RD MY REDBONE GOT A PERFECT SCORE IF I HAD A GOOD HOG AT EARLS THERE IS NO TELLIN WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED. HE HAS NEVER SCORED BELOW 9.9 IF HE DID NOT CATCH OUT AND LATELY NOT BELOW THAN A 10

Congrats on your wins . That redbone is a nice dog. As far as catch outs go, theree is awhole bunch around here that like "pig ear sandwiches". While it is beneficial at times in the woods , it will sure mess up your perfect scorin record in the bay arena ! If we could only pick which hog we wanted, I'm not sure whether we would save our entry money or win alot, for surely, only the winner would be the only one there.

I didn't get to make the trip this year . A friend of mine that bays here about every month took 4th in the two dog and a dog I bred & raised split 6th - 9th in the two dog . I hated to get rid of him , no longer competitive , but glad he's getting to do what he loves .

Uncle Earls is a lot of fun, it'll teach you a lot about hog dogs and competitions. You've got to have a dog that can bay any kind of hog out there from dead set-up, to race horse runner to wicked rough and do it perfect. That's not an easy task to pull off. I sure wish I could pick my hogs everywhere we went, I know where the holes are in my crew, lol if I could always pick their hogs, they'd be contenders every time they walked in the pen. But I won't bother to say they ALWAYS bay perfect scores, lol, they're pretty good, but they're not THAT good.
