Just wandering what exactly are fox/coyote pens? Sorry, I'm from Australia and have never heard the term. I'm guessing it's somewhere that breed foxes/yotes to be released and hunted... but I could be wrong.

FOX AND COYOTE PENS ARE PLACES WERE PEOPLE RUN OR TRAIN THERE DOGS AND SOME PENS HOLD FEILD TRAILS.THE PENS ARE FENCED IN,MOST HAVE ENOUGH LAND WERE THE GAME HAS A LOT OF ROOM TO RUN.PLEASURE,TRAINING OR FIELD TRAILING IS WHAT THE PENS ARE FOR.

It is a fenced in enclosure anywhere from normally just over 100 acres to some of them are pushing 2000 acres. The ones that i have seen are 6' high and has a couple strands of electric wire running round the top and bottom. Dont have to worry bout the hounds gettin scattered all over the place that way.

Most of these pens have a limit on the amount of dogs being turned out also,so the game want be killed. They don't kill the fox or coyote they just run them for training purposes for field trials, but sometimes game does get killed by the dogs. Mostly only because the game want run or they have too many dogs per acre or too much game.
