How many coyotes you fellas got in your area? Around here we got way to many ofem and we do our best to take care ofem. Every now and then our deer dogs will get on one but they are to slick for that so we gotta catchem sneakin cross a field when they dont expect it and shootem. We have gotten two like that so far this year. My dad got one with the 22, missed one with the 22 3x , and my uncle busted one up bad with his 300 Win Mag!!!! Great fun if you can get into them decent but they are kinda slick to run with dogs around here, we put the dogs on one the other morning and he slipped around a windrow and into a bean field after running the dogs in circles for the longest time and he was never seen except for his tracks and the cloud of dust he left crossing the road. Good thing we didnt see him neither or he would of got some buckshot in a heartbeat lol.-tim

Well coyotes are getting large populations pretty much evrywhere now. And there is no way you can wipe them out so don`t bother trying. We average around 40 a season only hunting weekends here out of the same general area every year. We have been running them for 10 yrs now and they seem to get smarter every year. either that or we are gettin dumber

they are everywherer here, its hurtin the turkey populations, and especially the rabbits, last year was a really bad rabbit season. this year looks like it will be better if the numbers i see now are a sign. we kill every coyote we see, itll end your deer hunt but they need to be thinned down.

In my area we have a lot of coyote, we have a lot of cover, ag crops, deer, and turkey, of which makes for some good hunting. Last winter our group shot 64 coyote and 17 fox. All were taken with hounds. Sure is a fun way to get through winter.

Yes it sure is fun for the winter running yotes. We started hunting them to get rid of em but now we enjoy hunting coyotes even more than deer. Our numbers seemed to be down last year but this year we have seen alot of them around.
