Sents I got hurt I can't hardly shoot a rifle. The meds make me shake to much and the noise is unbearable to me. I seem to be OK with a shotgun. So what buckshot do you guys prefer?

I like the Winchester 3" #4s. How many pellets do they have? What choke do you use?

I like the Winchester 3" #4s. How many pellets do they have? What choke do you use? I think those shells have 41 pellets in them. I'm not a fan of #4 buck personally. I shoot remington 3.5" 00, but that's not what I would recommend if you're worried about recoil. Whatever you want to try, make sure it shoots good in your gun.

The 3.5 #4s have 54 if I remember correctly. If you are worried about recoil, I think there's a company (?) that makes recoil reduced buckshot.

I'm not worried about recoil. With the brain damage I have I shake a lot. And I was kind of looking for more pellets to give me a edge

I like the Winchester 3" #1 buck. I shoot a 28" modified browning pump. It's like a big hand that just reaches out and slaps them down.
It really depends more about what your shotgun likes, but #1's are mid range in size (.03") and you have 24 pellets in the 3" mag. Heavy enough for one to do the job and enough pellets to spray the bushes and find a hole when he's running.
Best bet, if you don't have one, is to borrow a lead sled so you don't have to suffer the recoil. Just start shooting different buck shot brands and sizes until you have a happy pattern at about 60 yards.
