TBBC will be holding a end of the season bash, to be held Sat March 30 in the Ocala National Forest, trophies and cash awards to winners, all participants must have a valid hunting license and management stamp.
As entries come in I will get you your numbers, It would help out if you could number your own dog but if not I will be painting dogs as you confirm your entry. 10$ entry. We want to cast at 7 am so I will start taking entries at 5am. Pickup will be 3 hrs after turnout.

Deadline is 7am, dogs will be casted together as soon as possible after roll call. Pickup is 3 hours after casting.
-Placement of hounds may range from 1-5
Males and females will be run together and scored together.
-No females in season will be allowed to enter a hunt and must be removed from the grounds immediately.
JUDGES GUIDELINES
-Master of hounds must conduct a judges meeting covering all rules and procedures prior to the start of the hunt.
-Master of hounds must conduct a roll call before cast on each morning of a hunt.
-Hunts will be scored on speed and drive and checks only. Scoring will be as follows:
1st- 35 points
2nd-30 points
3rd- 25 points
4th- 20 points
5th- 15 points
Fifteen points will be awarded until the end of the crossing or a hound number is missed.
- Checks will be scored 25 points
-Dog can not be scored more than once in any given minute, in case of more than one score in a minute highest score will be used.
-Time will be kept on all crossings
-Hounds running alone will be awarded 20 points.
-Hounds will be scored on rabbit only
-Hounds may not be eliminated for running off game but they must not be scored , they must be caught as fast as possible and returned to pack if owner wishes.
-Overseen by the master of hounds, field judges may eliminate hounds for poor running habits. Such as, failing to cast, babbling, loafing, running backtrack and fighting other hounds.
-Hounds will be given a thirty minute grace period beginning at the time of cast. Hounds will not be eliminated during grace period.
-As a last resort,if hunters/handlers with hounds entered into the hunt should be needed to judge, they must grouped in parties of two. both members of the party must observe and agree on the crossings they score.
HOUND REQUIREMENTS
-Hounds are not required to be registered but they must display beagle appearance and be 15" or under
-The TBBC reserves the right to disqualify a hound based upon it's appearance. In this case, the hound in question must be voted on by all members in attendance.
MEASUREMENT OF HOUNDS
-TBBC hunts will have a 15 inch maximum height requirement.
-At any TBBC hunt any member in good standing may request all hounds be measured, so long as it is 1 hour before roll call. At that time all members running hounds will have the opportunity to vote yes or no to measuring hounds, measurement of all hounds present will take place if the majority votes to do so.
-Any hound that is close will be measured in a relaxed, natural standing posture, in front of the measuring group, by the measuring committee and the master of hounds.
