How y'all.ive got a female dog due the 8 th of December.i got a brooder outside I plan for her to whelp in but I never raised a litter in the winter and was wondering what is best for keeping the box warm.proly be mid thirties at night and 50 in the evening by then.thanks for any info

i use a 4' x 4' square box 22" tall with a small door.I make sure the door is facing true south bed with wheat straw. I live in Georgia and all of my pups are born in above type box with no heat lamp and do just fine Glynn Holmes www.tellsblueticks.webs.com

You can go all out and use insulation in your brooder and nearly fully enclose it by using covering over the door but just a heat lamp and decent brooder should suffice I'd think.
