Got out a little early. I was a little excited as this was the first cool weather we've had this year and I was hoping to catch one slipping. Was on the edge of the powerline for awile before I heard the pack coming. It was a dull roar at first and I could barely tell what it was. They were moving kinda slow, but seemed to be headed straight to me. As they got closer the roar changed to indevidual voices. I readied my gun, expecting to see deer pop out at any time. At the last minute they went a little to the right, then crossed the powerline about 75 yards from me. The 14 hikers were so "in tune with nature" that they didn't even notice me 25 feet up a tree in blaze orange. If they had been my pack, I'd cull the whole bunch for babblin'. You gotta love public land in central florida. Got 3 more weeks till we can do some real huntin'. I'm about done sitting in a tree feeling like a buzzard.
