I have a walker female dog that had pups 3 weeks ago. I've raised a few litters including 1 from the same dog. These pups seem smaller than they should be, and are not super thick and fat as I'd like to see them. Except for one male. He is at least twice the size as the rest of the pups. All also seem kinda lazy. I wormed with Nemex at 2 weeks.
They were taken to the vet a few days ago (without the female dog). The vet advised me to remove the big, dominant pup 3 hours at a time twice a day. and to worm with Panicure, as they had hook worms. I've done all this, and I know there hasn't been time to see an improvement.
Today, I checked the female dog to see if she had plenty of milk coming out. It seemed like she had plenty but, in a few tits, there was brown stuff coming out with the milk. On both it was coming out of one particular orface on the tit.
Is this normal, or could this be the cause of my problems. I've started them slowly on milk replacer. They eat it better some days than others. I can pull them off the female dog if I need to but, she's been such a good momma that I don't want to if I don't have too.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Zach

Thanks, they're about ready to ship down the road in a week or so. I'm ready too, a litter of pups costs lots of money.
