Even though rabbit season is half over in Va. This is the start for me and a bad one so far. This is the second weekend I've been and rabbits on the club seem way down. Hard to find a rabbit even in the thick cutover this year so far. Still it's fun. Here's a couple short clips. 1/14/2011 www.youtube.com/watch?v=fd8vfMi0VwA1/15/2011 www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sTHxrSgbYw

I have had the same problem. Im not sure what is going on here in va most of the people I am talking to are having the same reports of few rabbits . It has been hard this season even my go to places are not producing as much as usual. I cant blame it on my dogs bc they were ran all summer long leading up to the season and now seems as if the rabbits have disappeared but the rabbits we have jumped have put on a show. This past weekend the dogs ran one for over 2 hours and no one could get a shot on him I hope to have better luck this weekend ;D

I have noticed the same thing in some of the places i hunt. I hunt all over the state of NC but i find it varies by location last year at my hunting lease we had no rabbits hunted it 4 days and only jumped 10 max, this year first run jumped and run 5. Some places we hunt are the best looking ive ever seen to hold a rabbit and cant hardly get one going, then go to a place were its more open woods and thickets and the rabbits run out of the briars in packs. Haha i like um like that.
