I'm new to rabbit hunting with beagles, and I was wanting to ask ya'll a question. I have 2 beagles (Not registered). they will jump rabbits pretty good but won't always chase or will give up chase. Is thern a way that I can remedy this, or is this normal?

Yea rabbits are like nothin ive ever seen. If everything isnt perfect its hard for a dog to keep them up. That may be your problem.

Get you a beagle that is good at trailing to help them out. Most beagles are better at trailing than jumping rabbits.

Is thern a way that I can remedy this, or is this normal? If theses hounds are young, just keep taking them and show them lots of bunnies to run. It sounds like you could use a hound with some experience to add to your small pack. You said that you are new to the sport of bunny hunting with dogs so let me invite you to check out my Web site "Paw paws Kennels" There you will find me bragging about my hounds and granddaughters and will also find my collection of information covering the training, housing and health of my beagles. pawpawskennels.webs.com/Check out my "Photo Albums" and be sure to click on the "Slide show" for some added music... Good luck with your hounds and welcome to this good time sport!!!
