Well all I can say I was dissapointed today. Loaded up the dogs and a few buddies and went to check some spots on the river that we normally hammer the bunnies in. It was the first time I have been there since the high water we had last year. I figured the numbers would be down, but that was an under statement. We had one race all morning. It has nearly wiped out the rabbit population. I've been hunting in there my whole life and can't remember it ever being this bad. I guess its because it stayed up for so long. I guess I'll have to start looking for some new ground to run on for the next year or so. Just had to vent.

yep thats about how it went for me too. the flood even knocked down the hog and deer population a notch in some places.

josh, come on and go with us saturday at perdido. we've been finding a good many rabbits. BUT, keep in mind. it's like carrying your buddy to your favorite fishing hole. it's hard to get a bite the first time they come...............tony

Bunnies have been hard to locate here in South Mississippi as well. but don't give up on your swamp hunts. The first few weeks of the season (Oct-Nov) I could not find many bunnies to run, but recently I have been going deeper into the swamp and finding some bunnies. I have not bagged many and often leave my gun at home but I am encouraged.
