sold one of my walker pups. and got me a new rabbit dog. almost 14 inch. male redtick. 6 y/o. paid 150$ for him monday. bought him off the mans word. i figure if dog can make it to 6 years old without getn a bullet in the head, then it might be worth somethin. i run him today with my 10month old puppy just to see what he can do. my puppy jumped the rabbit (first jump ever for her) and when this dog got on the track he run it to death. he handles like a dream. great check dog. and let me tell ya. if a dog can run a rabbit in these dusty dry conditions. then he can sho nuff stay in my kennel. now im ready for rabbit season next weekend. cause i got 4 dogs that can smoke a rabbit. and im hoping the two old broke dogs will keep the young ones straight on a rabbit.

That is a fine looking hound and it sounds like he has still got lots of hunt left in him. Like you, I am counting the days untill opening day. Our seasons opens on 16 Oct. It would be nice if we could get some cool weather to start the season.
