Jeffrey, Ive seen the way Ole Slimmer looks at ya. I think you need to break up with him Seriously..I had the same issue with one. Have someone else walk him in with you nowhere around. Make sure there is no one around except whoever is walking them in so he doesnt come back tothe truck. It worked with my Annie dog, at least she was female!

If he would get really excited over the hog in a trap, that would be great. Some dogs get beside themselves trying to eat the hog through the trap and some could kinda care less. If he would get excited over a small hog in a trap and you could let him see you turn it loose then site chase it for a distance before it got out of his sight, it might do it.
I also think you ought to let someone else hunt him when you have a chance. Get him away from you. You're his safety blanket as long as he knows you are around.

have u tried the foxpen? that is usually my last resort, i had a redboine/walker cross male, and his sister was rolling. i took him to a friends little 2 acre foxpen filled with greys and i would have him on the path with my friend i would run threw the briar and foxes would run all over and he act like he didnt even see them. we even turned out 3 deer beagles in there and they would run them. he would just stay under my feet. hes not at my house any more.
