Fellas I have been sick as a dog most of the week and finally got feeeling a lil better yesterday afternoon. Decided to go still hunting over in gates in a bean field where I bowhunted earlier in the year. Saw three does but they winded me and went back in the woods. After that I looked to my right and there where three more down the bean field at about 150yrds. I pulled my 30-30 up fired on what looked like the biggest doe. Somehow I missed and am normally dead on with this gun. The big doe ran in the woods and the other two stood in the field for a minute looking confused so I took aim again. I took the shot on the one standing broadside and she turned a flip and was dead in the edge of the beans. The other deer didnt waste much time leaving after the second rifle ball came down there. Unfortunatley my "doe" turned out to be a button buck. Hate to shoot a button buck but there was really no way of being able to tell thats what it was. I just figured it was another doe because I had seen a bunch of does using this field during bow-season. Anyways I guess it is meat in the freezer. Just thought Id let yall know, later..

You can't eat them horns no ways. and the does usually run them young bucks off, you'll have another one take his place sooner or later.
