OK I got one to.I was walking to my stand during still season before daylight one cold still morning.I got into my stand and the woods were dead still and quiet, in the woods that morning. Then I heard something coming toward me walking in the dry leaves. It was making to much noise to be a deer or anything like that way more noise than any hunter would be making trying to slip in the woods. It stopped about 30 yards from me and the woods were dead quite for a minute. Then it walked to my left and circled me making a slow wide circle until it was in front of me again then it headed straight to me and went under me.I could see a huge dark figure pass under me.And it went about 30 yards passed me and stopped. It was there being very quite for maybe a minute then it turned to the left and stated its circle again.I was wanting daylight right then! it made a full circle this time and ended up on my left. Then it stated making all kinds of noise in the leaves. Then silents My eyes were glued to that spot. When it finally got light enough to see what it was.I saw something no man ever wants to see.It was a in-law my brother in-law forgot his flash light and was looking for me and gave up and waited for daylight. But it was scary he's 6'4" 320 pounds and ugly as hell. And smelled like coon urine!Tell me thats not scary in the dark... ;D I know I'm full of it.. dd444

i think the worst spook i ever had at night in the woods was when we hit a ranch i had been hunting off the caprock for hogs 1st off the ranch gate was closed. no biggie right well its the 1st time the cattle guard gate was shut second thing no wind what so ever, except!! down the 1st mile of the main ranch road which runs east and west keep in mind there were no clouds no sign of a storm to come on the news that night and the wind was blowing in out of the east and blowing hard but still only that one road 3rd as we crossed back over the river bed none of the dogs would get out they all stay with in spitting distance actting really wierd like they were scared now with that in mind we heard a really loud wistle that sounded like it couldnt be more the 20 yrds away i hit the spot light and nothing nadda zip we crept up the road about another 30 yrds turned and hit the light a again still nothing and total dead wind so we left when we hit that main road again once more a hard cold wind comeing out of the east spooked me and the dogs although i still dont know what was going on out there

i feel safer in the woods than in town, i figure there arent many people out in the woods that i dont know about, and killers and robbers sure dont go into the woods at night. and on the other hand i have more firepower and better aim than they do. i know my way around these woods pretty good

heh i walked up on a snipe one time and it left makin all kinda racket and i almost had a heart attack. the most scared i have ever been in the woods was 2 years ago, i was sittin under a guys box stand, i leaned up against one of the legs and ended up fallin asleep. i awoke to a loud racked and i was freakin out and didnt know where i was for a second, and i couldnt figure out what the noise was.
it was his corn feeder goin off. and i had gotten into such a deep sleep that when i woke up i was all disoriented. it was pretty funny after that, but i was very confused
