The whole litter of ten suddenly has the runs. They turned 6 weeks old today. Yesterday (Friday) they started to have very loose bowel movements and now it is like water. They have slowed down on how much they are going. I bought some Kaopectate and Pedialite and have been giving them both. They still have alot of energy but it just doesn't last as long before they get tired. Any ideas? They have not been in contact with any other dogs except their mama since they were born. They are kept up off the ground in a screened in pen and we have not been putting them on the ground to minimize their chances of getting parvo etc.. We removed their mama a week ago. While she was with them we were helping her out and giving them some goats milk with their puppy chow. We had started to give them a little cows milk as well to get them to eat better. I have limited experience with puppies and this has us all real worried.
Thanks for any input.

Coccidia, Giardia, worms hook worms especially can cause pups to get diarrhea - all 3 easily treated and I'd probably not test one at this point since they all have it, I'd treat for all 3 things to be safe. I use SMZ trimethoprim tablets rather than the liquid albon because it tastes bad and will cut down their drinking when put in their water as recommended - they need all the fluids they can get. I'd get a really good quality liquid wormer (pyrentel paomate) and worm them every 3 days for the next 2 weeks with 25% more than the recommended dose. - and swap the cow milk to milk replacer.
