Answers to your questions 1)yes and depends on the dogs 2)Scent train, drags but most important is time in the woods 3)No need for a rack here just glad to get more people involved.
You can run a deer with one hound and be effective if you have the right dog.Is two enough?I love hearing a pack run so in my opinion two is never enough.Personally,I like a hound that is able to jump and run its own deer. If the parents of the young dogs are good dogs, then woodstime is all they need and a lot of it.Hold of on the breeding until you are 100% sure what kind of dogs that you have.No need to add more dogs if the first ones are no good.Taking your breeding program more seriously than you do your hunting.PLan your breeding months and years ahead.Never on the spur of the moment. Look for road kill to aide in your scent training.Take them to the woods in areas that you think deer will be bedding walk those areas with the dogs.Enough the dogs to ramble, hunt and explore but don't hunt the deer for them.IF they have it in them it will soon start to show. WE are all here to help will be glad to answer any question that you might have.

the dogs a 100% treeing walkers, and i hear you about the breeding your right i was getting ahead of myself,
is there any specific scent? or just get some deer scent
i get some scent, let them get a trail of it or keep it on me and take it out for them to keep smelling, take them to where i know theres some deer, and just let nature take its course, and if there good theyll get one running? is that a good plan if not correct me
i can do this all on a lead for now right ,until there ready to get loose and run them
thanks for all your help,
