We just had a 21 month old beagles have 10 pups. We are concerned about her being able to produce enough milk to support them all. Is there anything you can give her to have her produce more milk? Also, how old do the pups have to be before you can give them a little milk to supplement them. Not planning to bottle feed, just give them some to lap up? Thanks for the help.

i always give my momma dogs happy jack milkade- its worked real good as we had litters of 9,9, and 10 and didn'y lose any-by 2 weeks you should be able to let them start eating on some puppy chow- make a gruel out of dry food soaked in water- them little suckers will lap it up= just make sure it is real soft for them-

Troy Happy jack like unclefester said will work or Calf mana milk supplement . follow directions on bag also spinkel on the mothers food it will help to produce more milk in her for the pups. Congrats on a big litter... Next time you have one going to whelp, give the female the milk supplement starting two- three weeks before pups are due over her food it will help her have plenty milk
Good luck with the pups

Ditto the other 2. I also use the Manna Pro (makers of Calf Manna) milk replacer, I add 1 scoop to the bitches food daily. I start my pups on food sprinkled with the powder at about 3 weeks, for smaller pups, I probably would wet it and let them lap the milk up. Be sure to read the directions on the milk, it takes more in the water than you'd think.
Good luck with your pups!
