My nephew uses one . The Blue Box with 16 channels , ( 155. MHz ) . One of the best out there in my opinion . Good range in thick cover around here . The only thing I don't like about it is that it's a little bulky . Other wise a great unit . Also , Advance Telemetry Systems makes a " Trac Tech " , but have never used one . You may want to see if there is a price difference . I think you're able to attach this unit to your belt or directly to a fold - away antenna .
