Fished the Congaree river this evening and we caught 13 catfish. There was a lot of water in the river today, but is was not too muddy. Used cut herring for bait. Big fish is about 40 lbs. Most of the fish had a little size to them. We fished a little further up the river than usual and it seemed to pay off. I hope they bite as well tomorrow.

Thanks, it was a lot of fun catching them plus I will have a full freezer now. It is 2:30 in the morning and I can not go back to sleep thinking about them. We are going back in the morning to see if we can catch them again like that.

What time do you go fishing? We always fish for catfish at night. What do you use for bait?
