This is THE BEST shrimp recipe I've ever had. It's simple to fix and ommmmmmmmmgoodness so tasty.
1 whole bell pepper 1 1/4 C green onions 1 1/4 C celery 1 1/4 C fresh parsley 1 small jar minced garlic 2 sticks butter (not margarine) red pepper chili powder paprika salt pepper 4 lbs PEEL ON shrimp.
Finely chop or mince all veggies.
In a 6 qt (preferably cast iron) pot melt butter on med hi heat until white "froth" on top. Add in celery, parsley, bell pepper, green onions and garlic. Simmer 5-7 minutes stirring frequently. When well blended pour in shrimp (with peel) then season with above list to taste and stir well. I use around a hefty teaspoon each. Cover and simmer 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and serve with rice and GARLIC bread - yummmmmy!
Put the whole shrimp, peeling and all in your mouth to savor the blend of seasonings before peeling and eating.
It is simple to make and OH my how good!
