just wondering what some of my fellow dog hunters use to worm their dogs, and what they think about some of the products available. Some people use liquid ivermectin and nemex or horse wormer ivermectin paste tube. I asked my vet about the options and she said that either was ok but ivermectin liquid was more accurately dosed in small dogs because you would use a syringe to dose the cc's. In the paste you only have weight dosage. My vet said that in most bigger dogs one notch on the weight dosage was sufficient. Smaller dogs get 1/4 to 1/2 cc, of liquid iver, and bigger dogs get 1cc according to my vet.

Need to make sure you use a heartworm preventative with that or your dogs will end up with heartworms.Look in thehealth forum and this has been discussed.

For HW prevention, Ivermectin HAS to be given every month.
