i noticed in some of your guys pics alot of black squirrels...are they pretty common in other states??? i live in va and have never seen one.

i see very few here in mississippi except in the delta and i think they are pretty common there..saw a lot of them in texas, especially up in the northeast part

Dont see alot of black squirrels here in north mississippi, but I do see some in the delta region of the state. The Delta region of MS holds different species of squirrels like fox, black,grey and flying squirrels. Hunting in the delta for squirrels in the delta is like a box of chocolate.. LOL Ya never know whats at the top of that tree.

Most of the black squirrels we have are along the MS River and in the delta region of the state.

I've NEVER seen a black squirrel here in Alabama, 99% grays.... a few fox squirrels.... i even treed a chipmunk once. ;D

would love to get a black 1.have red,white and blonde 1s mounted.only see 1 in bama in my 33 yrs of hunting and had a 30-06.

Never seen a black one in Kentucky, just grays and reds (fox)!
