bought a squirrel dog at orangeburg saturday. Hes kind of a big dog, a bluetick but the guy said he would run and tree a squrriel but he was a mtn fiest man. Maybe he will be a good one but ima try it. Ive never even ben squrriel huntin with a dog so anybody got any pointers, what the best time of day to go, is him bein so big a problem any kind of input is appreciated cause I got no idea what im doin lol. just a coon hunter lookin somthin to do durin the day since I sold all my beagles, not a permanent thing just temporary.

Just put him in the woods and see what he can do. Early mornings and afternoons are usually best. If you have coon hunted much you'll pick right up on it. Don't matter how big or small they are really. He might be a little mouthy on a track and I don't really care for that but who knows. He might be tightmouthed. I've never been with a hound that was though. Keep us posted and you can call me anytime if you need any more help.
