Folks, a very dear friend of mine is facing one of life's challenges that who knows what it will bring. Recently in talking with him, I told him about a particular "event" we talked about it in great detail. A couple weeks later, on another visit, the same subject was brought up. He didn't remember talking about it the 1st time. It struck me odd, but I didn't think a whole lot about it. Well, yesterday I talked to him about youth weekend, in great detail. He called this morning to tell ME about youth weekend and had NO RECOLLECTION of talking to me yesterday. Guys, this fella taught me virtually all I know about guns and shooting, gave me basically free reign on 1000 acres of private land to hunt and fish. The hunting there isn't important, the "loss" of my friend shook me to my toenails.
He and his wife have been really important people in my life for a lotta years now and to see his mental capacity in jeopardy, it's a scary thought. It's something I have no idea how to help.
There's nothing that I know of to do for him but pray.

That is tuff! We'll pray for him. It's odd that it went so fast. Maybe it's something other than dementia.

I will remember him in our prayers. Could you at least give us a first name to send up stairs ?

Jerry is his name. This has been going on for several months now. Some days no "lapses" and some days many.
