from what ive heard its better then a icom, the only place that has them in stock is magnum telemetry, their 309 and have a lifetime tech support or something like that

yeah i know. seems like a great deal. i just want some real world feedback. that was why i was asking if any of yall have used one. seems like a great deal especially since they track all collars. for 300 bucks new! man cant beat that. just wanted some feedback on if they are easy to use and track with. i was thinking about getting a quicktrack since they are pretty easy to track with. but i want to know about this vr 500 first

I got mine a year of so ago to replace my wildlife box and will never go back. I hunt some thick woods and have never had a problem with range even without the gre amp. I would recomend it to anybody, small, compact, easy to use and above all else it works!

Much of the same from me. I hunted with a yeasu vr-500 last year. Worked great. Small, compact with good range. Definitley not a bad box for the money.

pos. when you have lots of dogs or hunting with a group, lots of feedback and inaccurate. Sorry fellas as far as a tracking box( excluding garmin) Wildlife 1000 is the way to go....
