i received a phone call from my mom that my brother was hurt in a accident. Well i had to leave the chat to rush to the hospital so I found out that he was trying to stop a thief at Walmart where he is a manager and when he ran out the store the driver of the get away car hit him with the car and proceded to run over him. He was dragged 154 ft under the front of the car. And he actually through himself out to the side because the driver was going faster trying to get away. They caught the driver and theif but my brother was hurt really bad. I will tell you that he will live but they had to amputate his left leg under the knee, he has a broken femer bone in his right leg which they placed a steel rod in it tonight, and his shoulder is broken in a few different places. He has a crack in his pelvic bone and a crack in a vertibrate in his spine. Its been a long night but the only thing he keeps talking about is that he paid $150 per ticket for the L.S.U. game and he will have to watch it from the hospital. He is married almost 2 yrs and has a son that is 8 months so if you find any spare time please pray for him because there still not sure if any internal injuries are there yet. I will be taking a few days off from work and here possibley but i'll try to check in when i'm not at the hospital. They are suppose to do the shoulder surgery tuesday since he lost so much blood tonight. I want everyone to make sure that they tell the people that you love that you LOVE them because you never know when god is going to pull your number. I guess tonight they were playing go fish because they must have not need him yet so i will keep everyone informed. CRO

You sure got the prayers from here!!! Keep us updated please. At least with a work injury from Walmart, with the amputation, he shouldn't have to wory financially. From what I hear, they take care of their own. I know with a hospital stay and a serious injury that is usually a concern. When Ken had staff in his leg last year and we almost lost him, then it went to he almost lost his leg. Our reactions were, ok, he's gonna live, now how are we gonna survive. Thank the lord he didn't need an amputation. Our prayers are with your brother!!! Let us know when he is out of the woods.

Thanks for the prayers because he needs them right now. ok, i just got back from going visit in MICU and he's down right now. He is starting to realize what the impact of his major injuries. He has 7 different breaks in the right shoulder and 5 fractures in his pelvis. He should be having surgery on tuesday if all works out but the doctor thinks he'll be bed ridden for at least 2 months and then hopefully will be able to get into a wheelchair for hopefully 4 to 6 months. The doctor said to just to just hope to be at this point in a year and we found out that the feemer bone that was broken was broke in 4 places so they had to feed the steel rod through 4 pieces HOPING that they all heal properly. Thanks for the prayers and keep them coming. CRO

ok, i am back from the hospital and tomorrow they are going to do surgery on the right shoulder that is just full of fractures and broken bones. We also found out that the right arm is broken and will need a steel rod in that arm also. They are going to try to fix the skin around the amputated leg without having to remove more of the leg. I will keep everyone informed and thanks for everything. On a bad note we found out this afternoon that the girl driving the car BAILED OUT so she is on the roads having fun and my brother is along way away from being out on the road. CRO

Ok, i am back from the hospital and everything went great. They were able to completely cover the leg that was amputated without having to cut above the knee cap. They were able to fix his right arm and shoulder with alot of steel plates, screws, nuts and bolts. They also installed a GREENLEAF FILTER that was inserted into his main vein to his heart to stop any blood clots from making it to his heart. So, now we have to wait for the pevic bone to heal so we have about 2 months til he can sit up in bed. I want to thank everyone for the prayers and cards that are coming in. CRO

OK, me and Austin went visit Jason last night and good thing we went at night because Jason kicked out everyone out his room because he was tired and upset. We played dirty and sent in his godchild Austin first to see him and bring his spirits up before we walked in. He seemed to get a few hours rest and it made a big difference. We talked to the nurses to change all his dressings on his cuts and surgeries after visiting hours instead of waiting til 3 am to wake him up and hurt him and then he can't sleep the rest of the night. I want to thank everyone for the prayers and get well card that are coming in. CRO

Well me and the family except for Austin went to the hospital tonight and he was sleeping. Austin went to the L.S.U. game tonight but Jason had a rough night when he was complaining about not enough pain medicene and they said to just wait for it to kick in. They found out this morning that the marfeen machine wasn't working all night so he was in alot of pain with no releaf at all. I hope he gets alot of rest tonight because he might be out of ICU by monday. Thanks for all the prayers and keep them coming. CRO

I can't believe that no one checked the machine all night!! The RN is supposed to check that pump and any IV's every 4 hrs. especially a morphine pump because it is a narcotic. There is no reason for them not to be checking it.

I was able to sneak away today to make a after noon hunt and got back in time to go visit Jason tonight. I didn't see anything while hunting but 26 wood ducks flying over but I was able to clear my head from all the stuff that was driving me crazy all week. I talked to Jason and he is feeling better today but it looks like his gald blatter is messed up so we might be going tomorrow to remove it if things don't get better. The big blood drive is tomorrow so i sure hope that alot of people show up to donate blood. CRO

Ok, i'm back at the office with my computer and Jason is finally out of ICU and the Gald blatter is ok now with some medicene. He is in a regular room til he gets moved to a rehab floor in a couple weeks. He is very happy to finally get to see his wife and son more but does know that he needs his rest. I want to thank everyone for the prayers and i went to Walmart yesterday to check on the blood drive and it looks like a big turnout. I know that we were hopeing for a big turn out since all the blood was being donated to the hospital in Jason's name and not being put towards his medical bill since walmart is going to pick up the total bill for everything. Thanks for the prayers and keep them coming because he has months of bed rest til we can move him around. CRO
