we plant wheat, oats, and clover usually. the deer love the clover and we might try some austrian winter peas this week since we are supposed to have a wet winter and its too late to plant anything else here. a few people told me they love the winter peas. and they are priced good and easy to find

For the fall plot we have clover, oats, rye grass, wheat, rape seed and Austian winter peas. They seem to eat on the rape seed and peas more.
Going to plant up soybean this spring, give that a try.
We fertilize our plots with chicken litter, makes em' grow good! Also, we try and fertilize the natural browse, oak trees, etc. Take advantage of that free feed!
We also run the corn feeders year round. Been feeding all them twins we've been having. Plus, hold the doe all year long.
