Hey fellas, I know I worked most of the late summer on my dog box but have noticed a few flaws since Ive been using it.... For one it is EXTREMELY heavy, it is framed out of 2x6 cypress wood.... two it is fullsize so not much room for anything else if you dont take it out after the season is over with.... I will probobly just figure out someway to get this HEAVY durn thing out of there until deerseason comes back in or I go run them again but it is still really heavy if ya know what I mean.... May not be a way to get it out but I dont know, any suggestions??..
If I build another box I definitley want something I can take in and out, the man up the road here has an aluminum full-size box with drybox that is made to take in and out, may see how much he wants for it but dont know, Ill think of something I guess, got alot of time before deer-season comes back in....-tim

i dont know how much you have to spend on a dog box, but walmart by my house has a dog box made out of aluminum with a nice lockable door for 275. it is a pretty big box, should fit in a toyota but it will fill it up. so it should be good for whatever truck you want to put it in. and it only weighs about 45-50 pounds.

i wish you werent so durn far or i would let you have that steel box i have, im probably gonna buy me an aluminum box. and the steel one i have is a great box. i can put a pile of dogs in it.
if you can figure out a way to get it there, you can have it when i get a new one. there is a pic of it in the pictures section, with that little ole doe on the back of the truck.
