I found a used set of QR buckshots for 60 bucks and he is going to mount them for me to. 3 of them are in real good shape but one has seen better days.I hope I can find another one this summer.I couldn't pass them up for that price..What kind of mud tires do you use on your hunting truck? I have found its hard to beat a buckshot in the mud.But its hard on the ears on the street.. dd444

dd i have buckshots on my z-71 and i have 85,000 miles on them. i would have to say that is a lot of miles for an offroad tire. i spent 600 on them mounted, balanced and out the door, brand new. im about to buy a new set... i wont buy any other offroad tire.

Put a set of the bf goodrich mud terrain on my z-71 this last fall, very good tire, only gave up about 1 mile to the gallon on hwy miles, compared to my goodyears, and my bf's are much more aggressive. I believe with mounting and balancing for all 4 it was just shy of $800.

Hey fellas, glad to see the truck-forum getting some more traffic!!.. My truck still has stock-tires with no grip but thats because they havnt wore out yet.... Dont wanna throw away a perfectly good set of tires ya know what I mean, and they go perty much every where Ive wanted to go and I have hardly ever had to put it in 4x4.... I dont really know if I wanna get mudgrips or all-terrains after these wear out ya know what I mean??.. I want something that is gunna last on the road but something that will get me where I need to go in the mud to.... My truck gets drove on the hardtop just as much if not more than in the dirt and mud and my dad and everybody keeps telling me that the mudtires will wear out much faster on the hard-top.... What do yall think??.. dd444 also what do you think about a lift??.. Im not saying for my truck or nuthing just what do you think about them, do you reccomend them or what cus I like good looking tires but dont know about lifting the truck or nuthing.... Just wondering and also the nearest buckshot tire dealer around here is in Greenville so I kinda gotta choose between mastercraft or bfgoodrich when the time comes lol, you fellas takemeasy and have a goodun....-tim

I have Liberator All Terrain tires in 31X10.50 on my 92 Mazda B2600i 4X4 extended cab. They came from Wal Mart & cost less than $100 each. I have had good performance out of them. I've had my truck so deep I could splash water out the window with my hand & have yet to be stuck. I've had them 3 years now & they still have plenty of tread.

i used to have an 86 silverado and i had the same tires you have on it. and they were great tires. my buckshots have a little more tread on them but they are a lot more pricey too.

10-4, if you got out the door for around 600 on 35x12.5's then i could probably find me a set of 285-75-r16s for 3-400 i would say. you got a lot more tire for your money that the size i run on my factory suspension z-71. i pay 600 from the tire shop and thats with mount and balance,
ill check out ebay and i might save a buck.

I like co-op radials. They arnt quit as aggressive as the original co-ops but wont put you to sleep going down the road early in the morning going hunting. Unfortunatly they dont have that soothiing hum that put you to sleep early in the morning going hunting.
