I just got a Icom R10 box for my brother so that he can help me track dogs. Ive had a few people tell me that they are pretty good then i have had other tell me that they aint that good. I was wondering what yall think? Also people have told me about getting a booster for the box, where could i look into getting one of those? Thanks

i have a R20, a guy i hunt with has a R10. You need a booster (GRE super amp, get it on ebay) our's work fine with no problems knock on wood. Instead of hearing a beep you hear static is the only difference, you still have a strength meter.

I used a yupiteru which is the same thing as an icom for years. They are nothing more than a scanner . mine beeps when your are tracking just like a quick track or any other box. Mine reaches as far as the other guys with different boxes.
