I'm looking for information on processing and cooking fresh hog meat. Since the ole man is going to hog hunt I need some info on how to put it up and some good & easy recipes for fresh hog meat. Do you put it up like fresh deer meat? Got any recipes? Need help on this one.

i would say it depends on the lb on the hog if bout 45 -50 and under i would put the whole thing on a cooker and call up some buddys but u almost cant go rong with fresh wild hog ..ITS GREAT~!~

it isnt any diff from cooking bought pork it will just taste alot better the most imp part is his job tell him it is very imp to bleed the hog down as much as pos the it is good fried smoked baked and even as leftovers i can get you some quote recipes if you weant we have some friends down in picayune and his dad is a true cajun they hog hunt and he has som rec that will nok yur socks off
