well, what the ? geez, one guy goes to prison and the whole danged NHHA goes to hell in a handbag..... For anyone that doesn't know the back story, I helped start the NHHA with help from a great many people here and not online, the NHHA was really gaining speed despite a few rotten apples who will remain nameless --you know who you are--- who were more interested in how to line their own pockets than the greater good of the hound hunting community. a lowlife scummer killed on of my dogs, hung him from a sign post on his property in sight of the road, a few months later on a day that I was known and seen hunting near his place, his son was found hanging by the neck from the same sign post, i was charged with this and a couple boat rockers in the NHHA thought I should distance myself from the NHHA, which I agreed with and left the club. I was rather busy being in jail and the whole defense thing, had many deaths in the family to deal with, my own health problems and now am back on track, or pretty much so anyway. Before leaving I began setting up the NHHA 4 color magazine, out of my own pocket, no charge to members, I suggested we start taking on advertising to pay for the magazine, members shouldn't have to read ads AND pay to do it. the greedy SOBs took ads on, and pissed the money away on crap, like taking trips to go hunt other states and countries!! on the excuse they would be writting about it in the magazine. From day one there were people who ONLY had their eyes on advertisers dollars, some of these people succeeded in buying their own websites and forums and now seem to be happy with the money they are making there, these people in my own opinion are not hound hunters, they are scumbags too lazy to work, who see hound hunters as an easy mark, a place to make a quick buck without leaving their couches. These people are NOT the NHHA. you know that and I know that. if there is still interest in the NHHA please drop me a line, PM me through here, and let's see what kinda mess we have going on here... I do not have the mailing list, member list or anything like that, if anyone does send it laong, some I know right off the top of my head like kiwi, dd444, his son, shpines, and others on here and other boards.... the sad thing , the thing that breaks my heart, is we were SO CLOSE when I left to having a Hound Hunters national meadl and coin struck at the US Mint, we were SO CLOSE to getting hound hunting acknowedged as America's oldest pastime, and sport, we were SO CLOSE to getting FEDERAL PROTECTION for our hunting rights, and state by state protection for "hound hunters right to life", including special no kill seasons in states that now dont allow hounding, and now we have lost all that ground, years and years of work shot in the butt because a few people didn't want to miss the chance to make a buck for themselves.... what a shame it only takes a couple bums to ruin things for so many.
