Well, I was itching to finally harvest a deer and with a bad morning in unit A, I stayed home in unit L and saw a deer just before it was getting dark. I could tell it was a good sized bodied deer and didnt care what was or wasnt on its head. I pulled out the 243 and 175-200 yards later she went down.. Perfect shot through both lungs.. She dressed at 85lbs, but honestly, to me she feels heavier.. I have picked up 3 other deer this year, and she just feels heavier.. Either way she is a good doe and I can finally breathe with some meat to be in the freezer.
