use Valbazen, only have to give once a month . I've heard really good things about the Valbazen, I've not used it myself and my books are "pre" Valbazen. I've always preferred liquid wormer simply because it's so much easier to dose. Any of the "white" wormers, safeguard, rintal, pancur, Synanthic (my choice) you can also get some of these in generic form now, Oxybendazole, Fenbendazole, etc should be used in the 3 day dosing depending on the strength of the wormer your using as to how many cc's per pound- they're not effective on whips otherwise, some of them are not effective on tapes, some are. Your "yellow" wormers Strongid C, Nemex, Nemex II, some of the Happy Jack wormers basically Pyrantel Paomate are effective in "1 day" dosing for most common worms but NOT whips or tapes and again, the dose will depend on the strength of the particular wormer you get.

Question !
What is a good wormer in a liquid that will get all the internal worms Meaning- Tape, Round , Whip , Hook,
I know heart worms are another subject, but the ones mentioned above whats a good wormer that will kill these ?
My last worming I used Safe Guard but it was a powder mixed in with the feed for three days. But to be honest I dont know if it realy took care of the whips you cant see whip worms with the naked eye... The package said it would But I dont realy know..............
I've heard Valbazen and Nemex is good

I know the Ivomectin is mostly for heart worms but I think it gets other parasites too. I'll have to check on it to see.

The Valbazen, Synanthic, Rintal, Pancur and Safeguard are all basically the same class of active drug, just different strengths. Synanthic being the strongest, Valbazen the next, Panacur, Rintal then Safeguard respectively for strength. Tapes, whips, hooks, rounds, ascarids etc, all will be tended to good and proper with a 3 day dose. I prefer the Synanthic simply because of the strength = more doses per bottle. I use it at 1cc per 20 lbs of body weight...if I have a new dog that I don't know the worming schedule they've been on, I'll go 5 days, then to the 3 day dosing every other month or so afterward, but I keep my dogs on dirt and live in a climate that is conducive to whips.
I don't give it to pups under 16 weeks, it's a pretty harsh wormer for tykes.
