Just wondering if I'm the only one that jug fishes..How do you do it and how do you rig yours? jugs or noodles?hooks?
I use noodles I cut them about 12 inches long. The hole in them is about a half inch around so I use ether 1/2 inch PVC or a old water hose works good.I push it though the hole in the noodle and drill a hole close to one end of the noodle though the noodle and water hose.I push a drinking straw though the hole and run the fishing line though the drinking straw. The drinking straw makes it easy to get the line though the noodle and water hose.Plus it keeps the fishing line from cutting the noodle and they last longer. Some of mine are 3 years old.I use braided trot line for my jugs.I use about a ounce of weight but have used everything from old spark pugs to tire weights. For hooks I use a circle hook.I catch more fish with them and won't use any other type of hook.I usually use 6 to 8 foot of line sometimes more. With a noodle you can control the line length. If you have 20 foot of line and want to fish 8 foot deep. You can roll off 8 foot of line and put a rubber band around the noodle to hold it at that depth.. Well thats how I do it how do you do it??
