Well it was raining and everyone called me crazy for wanting to go. My granpa backed out. So my dad decided he would take me even though he thought i was crazy for wanting to go. I called reddtickk and he said he would go. We got to the spot around 1 and it was just drizziling. Well after about a half hour my dog copper jumped a rabbit and buster joined in the race was on. That thing ran past my dad he missed 2 times with his encore .410 pistol. Then it ran down a hedge row in bettween a field. What a mistake, Jeff (reddtickk got on the high side and i got on the bottom side. Buster ran it along jeffs side for a while. Then it came hoping out on my side. Ran when it saw me but BAM he rolls and i got the first one. Now its pourin down rain. I decided its the last day so lets stay out. We hunted for about 2 more hours and me and Jeff must of shot 8 times at this one rabbit i mean it was taking a beaten. Finally it came running out draggin its back legs and i shot it. Then we headed for the truck. Here is a pic of the rabbits when i got home. I put the dogs away since it was raining.

Yea, it was a good time. I really enjoyed it and looking forward to doing it again real soon. We had a few good chases. Yea, I think that ride got to the dogs. Maybe next time. At least we know there are some rabbits around here. Did yall see any rabbit "sign" while you was pokin' around in tha bush? So, when we gonna give it another try? We can even go back down to that 40 acre section for a camping trip or something one weekend soon.

when we got off in that little block north of your house where we ran first there was a ton of rabbit droppings in there. there werent a lot of tracks but it had just rained so that washed it all out. but i could tell there are a lot of rabbits right around there. all of that land right around your house had a lot of sign.....
daniel went and ran the evening with the older guy and he said that his 6 dogs couldnt run either.... so it was somethin about the rain and weather... we should try it again next weekend if it aint gonna rain all day friday.

I've had some good rabbit hunting with a little drizzle. Glad that you got to get out. Sounds like you have a good time.
