Had another good day yesterday. Me, Jeff reddtickk, my brother and my granpop went. I took buster and copper, and jeff brough shane. We got there at 9 to Jeff's secret honey hole. Started out hunting went through one lil section then at the end the dogs started running. We thought it was one rabbit like usal nope we were wrong. 2 rabbit came running out past me fast too. By the time i got the gun up they were to far. So i ran up the hedge row after them shot 2 shots at them then they ran in the hole. Then a couple seconds later when the dogs were coming towards me a 3rd rabbit ran past jeff he didn't shoot it since the dogs weren't running it. So we didn't get any of them. The next run was about 45mins later. It started out of honeysuckle when my granpop hit the bush. It jumped the stream and ran past me. I didn't shoot since it had just jumped. Then it ran a big circle and my granpa got were he thought it was coming down a fence row. It sure did. He shot and missed it sat there and he couldn't get another shell in the gun . Then buster came running through the bushes while they were in a check. And the rabbit turned and started back tracking. Well it ran down throught the field and sat in front of jeff. He missed it, it kept going and got behind jeff and my bro. Jeff missed again and my brother shot and got it. That was the end of that chase. The next one was 5 mins later. My granpop again had took a stick and started hitting the honeysuckle. It came running out and the dogs were right on it. It snuck past me so i moved to were i thought it was going. The dog was going the other way and it was coming back on the same path. I shot it and that was the 2nd one in the bag for that day. The next one the dogs jumped out of some more honey suckle on the edge of the woods. It jumped and ran accros a field and into the woods on the other side. I went to the edge of the woods were it just went in. The dogs circled it back and it came hopping right towards me. I shot and missed. It circled 2 more time in that woods before we saw it again. Big circles too, then we saw it. It ran across the open field and into the woods it was started on. Then ran down throught the woods. And across the open field again. Then circled in the woods again 2 more times. I saw it on the last circle but the dog was right behind it. So there was no shot. It got half a circle then they lost it. And came back i figured it holed but knew it couldn't of. I took the dogs back down there and they followed the track to were it had gone into some thick brush. It came running out the other end and i shot once and got it. Then we started hedding to were the 1st and 2nd rabbit were shot. We got there and jumped another. Yep my granpa again. Kicked the bush and out it ran. Right past me. The dogs got on it and circled it back along the stream. And i saw it coming throught the bush right at me. It saw me and started backing up i shot. But then it came running out the side of the bush. One more shot and i had it. That was the 4th rabbit. The next one was when i went back to my granpa with the dogs and buster got one started. He ran in half a circle then copper joined in with him. Idk what shane was doing. It ran right past jeff i hear THERE HE GOES BANG BANG, i said did ya get em. Jeff said no. Then i hear there he goes again, BANG BANG. He got him that time. The dogs tracked it to were it was dead then we picked it up and kept on going. That was the 5th rabbit. So we started going back to the car. We didn't run anymore rabbits but had a good time.
