How many rabbit hunters we got on here? I think if I had to choice a type of hunting to do if I couldnt run deer or bear with dogs it would be bowhunting and next to that Rabbit Hunting with beagles. Good lil race for some good eatin gravy.... ;D ;D

We do a good bit of rabbit hunting. Have a starting pen for my beagles and raise rabbits for it. Great way to get our boy started into hounds. He loves it.

I knew I liked you for some reason, so you like to rabbit hunt eh? RR you got any hounds? I have been a rabid rabbit hunter for 20 years and had to sell off what few hounds I had when I moved to Georgia. First time in 20 years I dont have any dogs to run chase a swamper or cottontail. I am going to come up around northern Georgia soon and meet a man whom I have heard of for quite sometime, he is a living legend when it comes to raising top notch rabbit dogs. His name is Aubrey Holcombe and he has raised some bona fide world champion rabbit hounds. ARHA world champions, I dont know if you are familiar to the ARHA, but it was and still is an organization that runs gun dogs not the walkie talkie AKC/UKC type hunt trials.

If i am not deer hunting, then im rabbit hunting, got a kennel full and access to as many dogs as we need, we hunt 3 to 4 days a week after deer season - got some real good blood lines, but you can always use another good dog

Hell I liked it so much 15 years ago when I really had some good hounds I borrowed $10,000.00 from the bank, quit work from Dec-March 1st and hunted 4-6 days a week! I will travel to find a good hunt.I might be able to find something down this way too! 12 per person, per day. So there must plenty to go around. I have a friend who hunted down here 20 years ago and they killed over 100 between his group in 2 days!
