Well 1st we look for a fresh track and usually we can find one to put hounds on. But if not then we just pick a woods we think has some yotes in it and freecast.

anyone that likes to yote hunt needs to come to our lease. there are hundreds of them. we cant even have a good rabbit season cause of the yotes. when you walk down a road or firelane there is yote scat (or crap) all down the lane. they are everywhere and they need to be thinned out bad. we shoot everyone we can see but that dont help. we only kill a couple a year.

nycoyotehoundsman- It usually depends on the track, if it is really fresh we will put the dump on it, if it is ? we will walk them in a ways.

i will look for tracks crossing a road, or see whats coming off the baits. if i can`t find a track i`ll free cast them. but we always seem to find tracks in the first 1/2 of looking.
