yep i know what you mean. im trying to teach some fellas in my hunting club about radios but they are stubborn. some want to run a power mic all the way up and leave their talkback on and since they dont want it to squeal threw their speaker they turn their mic gain almost all the way down. then i just tell em well at least with that talkback on and mic gain down at least one person is hearing you talk. they spend 10 bucks on a radio, 10 on a antenna and then 200 on a box and wonder why i can walk all over them with my radio on low (dk 2 swing 40) and they have their box on. oh well i know i get heard and one day they will see the light
