The only two I ever seen in the deer woods were culls, wouldn't even hardly get off the road. Of course, the owner of the dogs isn't much of a hunter though and never gave them a fair chance because he didn't run them much when they were young. They are more like redbone pets if you ask me....

I have one redbone, a female. She will be 7 months old December the 20th. She is already going through the block trailing and running with an older dog. Still does some babbling and when turned out by herself wont "run" but 400 hundred yards or so by the the gps collar before she comes back to the truck. She is extremely gritty will bay a wounded deer and will jump on the older bigger dogs over a dead deer. I have alot of hope that she is gonna be a good one.

The one I have is turning out to be a really good hound. This season she has truly earned her keep. I cant even count how many deer have been killed in front of her. She is still very young and sometimes needs some helping out but she is showing tremendous improvement.
