i hope you guys don't mind if a gal gets on here...my husband hunted before we got married, iin 1970...(sold his favorite dog to buy rings...that's love)...all i heard, when he got home from a day of deer hunting, is "we missed a big one..." well, after hearing that, for weeks...i decided that i could go and "miss" as good as anyone. have been hunting ever since. have a son that hunts and fishes, 2 grandsons who love to hunt, and fish. we have field trialed fox hounds, deer hunted, and fished (especially for specks) for 39 years. we live in leesburg, fl., and are involved with the central fl dog hunters, ( non profit organization), and we're having a big bbq and family day, sept 12 at doe lake in the ocala national forest...i hope it's ok to let folks no about it...don't want to get banned...this is a great site for dog hunters....we need all the support we can get...we've been working with the fwc on several cituations in the hunting area, and are looking forward to working with them on more areas. would it be ok , if i posted the website for the dog hunters? thanks for letting me join your site...i'll be back...

New to the site in north Florida. Anyone got any early results from the Alston Tract Hog Hunt?

Hello all, i guess i'm what most would call an ole timer, since i've got a son 36 and he's provided me with two great grandkids. I've been hunting most all my life mostly birds, rabbits, squirrels, etc. until retiring over 10yrs. ago and starting hunting deer, hog, coyote, etc. after getting my son started hunting while in H.S. We've also got into raising/training Catahoulas for bloodtrail tracking big game/recovery in this latest time period. Just recently picked up a pup in trade from Missouri that is a great granddaughter to "JCross' Checkers" (QuintGrCh.) My grandson at 3yr. seems interested in the dogs, hopefully hunting also in the future. His sis at 6 is all girlie, but we've still hoping she'll come around with bowhunting, she also loves the farm animals.

Glad i found this site. Starting foxhunting years ago with my grandfather every saturday nite before i even started school. I now mostly deer hunt but run whatever in the summer months. Was field trialing several years ago but got out. Now my son and son in law would like for me to start again. So hear i go..wish me luck.

Just posting to stay on the site, am not anti-hunter-gub or such. Enjoy deer hunting with, or without dogs. Both are enjoyable.
Don't have any dogs or place to hunt at present, hopefully that will soon change. I like this site, best of luck.
