I used to run a Johnson Merlin 10, and a Wildlife TRX1000, too much to keep up with when running 2 freq. , went to AOR MK8200III scanner , can track all freq. 150-225 at one time with yagi antenna, punch in dogs name and collar freq. and it will put you right on the dog, has attenuator, have tried all the collars and found that Magnum Telemetry of NC , Johnson(8000hr.), Quick Track to be the better in mountainous terrain. I use them on beagles, bassetts, walkers, triggs, and currs.

what tracking system do you guys run. i personally run a innotek 400 it get the job done. might not be the greatest, but i have no complaints. theres nothing wrong with the rd-400, i never left a dog in the woods when i had it. i wish i could put the rd-400 antenna on my quicktrack box. the only reason i sold my innotek was to be able to track more frequencies. now i run a quicktrack 6000 and havent had a complaint yet. i have had it almost a year and a half. i just ordered the garmin astro 2 dog set up, but im gonna hang on to the quicktrack system. brandon
