Mike THANKS for the invite . If there was any way on God's green earth I could make it out west I would just to see those dogs on a tree . I have hunted just about every type of game we have with dogs , but never a bear or cat . I just think that would be a life time memory . And you're right , that is Lamar Meeks . For some reason I was thinking " Richard " . Again Thanks for the pictures and showing us what a Leopard Curr looks like . I sure like the looks of the two dogs in the bottom picture .

I just wanted to do a little braggin on my dog. Hank is a 2 year old Leopard Cur crossed with a Blackmouth Cur, and I have been trying to train him to track wounded deer since I got him as a pup. The only problem is that every deer I have shot, or a friend has shot has only ran about 20 yards a most, so Hank has never been really tested. Until yesterday when one of the Lease hunters wounded a real nice 9pt. I took Hank out to the blood trail and got him a good start, let him off the lead and off he went. He jumped the deer after about 200yards and the chase was on. He ended up baying the Buck after about 1/2 a mile, and the Buck was put down. The buck had only been clipped in the front brisket and leg. It was a text book blood tail and bay. I couldn't be prouder. ps the pic of Hank was taken about a year ago Attachments:

How old is Hank? Looks like you live in s. Cal. or Nevada by the scenery. How old was the trail ya put him down on? Good job. Mike

Thanks, Hank just turned 2 in October, and the trail was only about 2hrs old. so that made things easier. I'm taking him back out to the ranch this weekend to do some more work with him. i need to work with him on some older blood trails. ill probably make some mock ones for him if the hunters don't wound anything. I live in San Antonio Texas, the picture was taken near Ozona, in west Texas, the Pecos river is in the background.
