I used tracking collars on all my dogs .An wouldent run them with out one .They jump a doe and they more or less just run in a big circle .But They jump a buck and the race is on for them and me to cut them off where ever that may be.Aint nothing to find a few 5 or so miles away bye the time the race is done.

o i was just wondering cause some people say you can keep up with a beagle cause they dont push a deer as fast but i always thought it would be easier to use tracking collars on them in case one broke away from the pack or something lol they USUALLY dont push a deer as hard and fast, but they will run just as far and long. we have picked up dogs several miles away, days later.... tracking collars on beagles for sure.... rats also makes a beagle sized collar. brandon
