T6 We had a great time the kids get to catch the fish.We let them take turns picking the jugs up and checking them. They have a lot more fun doing this than poll fishing.LOL And the wife if it is jerking the jug under she picks it up and I work the dip net.Its a great way to spend time with the family and get the kids away from the tv for a while and show them how much fun the outdoors can be..

I have never "jug" fished as u call it! I have only poll fished. Never heard of it til I moved down here from Missouri. They dont run trot lines up there either. I did that once with Kris and Bootlegger when he had his small boat.
I learn somethin new all the time!

T6 If you have never jug fished you have to talk Kris and bootlegger into taking you.It only took one trip for my wife to be hooked on it.I don't really use jugs.I use the swimming noodles and cut them to 12 to 16 inches long and use line 6 to 8 foot long with lead and hook on the end of it.You can wind the line around it.And when your ready to put them out.Just unwind to the lead bait it and drop it in it will unwind its self. You just bait them and put them out and let them drift with the current or wind. You don't have to have a small boat I have jug fished out of a pontoon before..

Neat Idea Chris, haven't jug fished in years and cann't waite for the Grandkids to get old enough for it. Think I'll get some of those noodles and make them up like you said. Went bream fishing on a creek Sat. morning with my bud WL, we caught about 50 in 3 hours, but we both felt bad, him foot operation and me the sinuses so we left early. Caught 4-5 real nice ones a piece, love to bream fish.

That is a neat way of juggn. If the water in the lake ever gets hi enough to luanch my pontoon I'll have to give it a try.

In the waterway...Jug fishing is the only way I have found to do any good fishing the waterway.I can set there for hours with a pole and not catch but 2 or 3 or around here its that way.I hear the fishing is better up your way on the waterway.I cought 21 saturday night with jugs. But I had 50 jugs out I sure would like to get where the fishing was good with some jugs just once...LOL
Just below the fulton lock to the bridge that cross the waterway at fulton.
