Here we go fellas, this might be a can of worms but its a good subject so what kind of truck or vehicle in general do you drive? Also what do you prefer to drive. Me Im a Ford man always have been, Dodge is ok but it dont beat the blue oval as my avatar says.... I want my next truck to be a Ford no dought. I drive an Isuzu 4x4 right now to get me where I need to go and it is great on gas (23mpg) but its still not a Ford so I dont intend to do much with it. My Dad used to drive a 94' F-250 with the 460 motor and that thing was bad!!!! It would pull anything you could hook it to just about and act like it wont even back there. If it had been my truck I would have run true dual exhaust on it and put some BFGoodrich All Terrains on it no dought. My uncle drives a 96' Dodge Ram with the v8 and she is a bad truck to. It has AT's on it with true dual exhaust and it sounds good to. Like I said my truck just gets me where I need to go for now but I would kill to have a Ford F-150 souped up the way I want it.... You fellas takemeasy and have a goodun.-tim

Yeah this should get something going alright. For a hunting rig you just can`t beat a toyota. I drive a silverado extended cab and it just don`t go where my toyotas did.

Well I have to agree with nycoyotehoundsman. I have a 1985 Chevy 4X4 and my Toyota will run circles around it in the mud.I did have a ford once that was a going truck but with 44's on it any truck that would turn them big tires over would go!And the ford would use 5 gallons of gas backing out of the driveway. And I was putting universal joints in it every few weeks. So far the Toyota has been the best 4X4 I have owned. And at 28 miles to the gallon of gas it doesn't break me to drive it.But any truck that gets you to where you want to go is a good truck .But thats just my opinion. dd444

i drive a heavy chevy, extended cab z-71. i want to get me a toyota to hunt out of, my full size is too wide and long for the firelanes on our lease. they trim all the trails for their little yota's and i have a hard time gettin around in some of them.
but i am very comfortable with the room in my truck, plenty of room for a passenger 2 guns and other nick nacks.

Brandon, you do have a good point about the room in the Toyota.Mine is a 4 runner so I can get 4 folks and a dog box in it.But getting in and out of it with my belly and all those hunting clothes. well it would be easier in a full size truck. But with the gas prices like they are and my Chevy only getting 15 MPG and my Toyota getting 28 MPG I guess I'll be hunting in the Toyota this year. dd444

I agree big time on the room problem. Currently I drive a 90' Isuzu Pickup Truck 4x4 and it is Regular Cab but it doesnt have hardly NO room in it. I had a terrible time trying to find a place to mount my cb radio and the dog box has to sit on the tailgate to fit in there and it is bungeed down lol. Kinda aggerevating but 23mpg is great for me right now and it gets me where I need to get so thats what makes a difference I guess. I still want a blue oval with all the riggings though lol.... ;D PS:also thought I should add my Dad drives a 2000 Ford Expedition and it has plenty of room and is really comfortable to hunt in so we might take the small wooden dog box we got around here and put it in the back of his rig and use it some this year so we got enough room to move around know what I mean?

I HAD a 02 Ford F-150 but when gas prices went up I gave it to my hubby and bought an 04 Mustang. And yes, I hunt out of the Mustang. She hasn't gotten stuck yet. I'm just not real sure where to put a deer if I kill it. I'd hate to bust my spoiler. Ha Ha.

I have a 97' ford h.d.3/4 ton powerstroke diesel, and a 1/2 ton extended cab 01' silverado- which my wife drives. Mostly I hunt out of the chev, as the engine is much more quiet. Both of my trucks are 4x4's. Iam looking to buy a midsized truck for hunting in the next year.
